Objectives: To involve students of Guided Practices (SGP) in pharmacovigilance (PV) activities. To evaluate students' perception about the interest and difficulties of the study and to assess their attitudes. Methods: Observational study in pharmacies of Pontevedra. Surveys were conducted by the SGP accompanied by their tutors. Subjects: patients of participating pharmacies who used any of these drugs: rosuvastatin, pitavastatin, sitagliptin and vildagliptin. A questionnaire for registration of adverse reactions and another for the evaluation of the activity and attitudes on PV were used. Results: 235 patients were interviewed by 31 SGP, 184 with statins and 51 with oral antidiabetic drugs. 152 adverse drug reactions (ADR) were found in 76 patients. 63 (34.2%) who took statins suffered 126 ADR: rosuvastatin 87 ADR in 36 (26.3%) patients, pitavastatin 39 ADR in 27 (57.4%). 13 (25.5%) patients taking oral antidiabetic drugs experienced 26 ADR: sitagliptin 11 ADR in 6 (16.7%) patients and vildagliptin 15 ADR in 7 (46.7%). Students considered their participation in the study very positive and the questionnaire with an appropriate estructure and length. Negative attitudes with higher percentages of «completely agree» and «agree» were complacency, lethargy and distrust and positive attitudes with lower percentage were position and demand. Conclusions: The involvement of SGP participating in the study has enabled the detection of ADR in nearly one-third of the interviewed patients. The SGP perceived the study useful for its formation. Students' attitudes were similar to previous studies
